Spoiler Alert: In the first night’s poll, 88% of Latinos say they don’t love Trump.

Latino Victory Fund, Latino Decisions, and Fusion have partnered to conduct nightly polls to assess Latinos’ attitudes towards the Republican nominee and the Republican Party, throughout the week of the Republican National Convention. The polls will highlight Latinos’ sentiments and attitudes towards Trump, and the effect these sentiments have on their view of the Republican Party and down-ballot candidates who are either supporting Trump or who have denounced him.

“The future of our families, our community, and the values that make our country great are at stake in the 2016 elections, that is why Latino Victory Fund is working actively to empower Latinos and ensure they participate in November. We are proud to partner with Latino Decisions and Fusion to ensure that our community’s voice and opinions are heard loud and clear,” said Pili Tobar, Advocacy and Communications Director. “This data is critical because it provides an almost real time snapshot of Latinos’ changing attitudes, and in the end a substantial, timely insight on how the Latino community will vote in November. Latinos are watching the Republican National Convention closely and listening to what is being said, and we plan to be on the ground every day to ensure that the Republican Party and the nation know that Latinos are present and paying attention.”

“Issues that are core to the identity of the communities we serve– race, social justice, diversity, immigration–are now front and center in this election cycle,” said Daniel Eilemberg, President and Chief Content Officer for Fusion. “We are thrilled to be partnering with the Latino Victory Fund to see how the rhetoric and policy proposals put forth during the convention will impact the opinions of Latinos as we head into the general election this fall.”

Sylvia Manzano, Principal at Latino Decisions said, “The data say all we need to know about where the Republican Party and Donald Trump stand with the Latino electorate today.”
