Arizona 2010 Results

Results of the Latino Decisions Arizona election eve poll will be posted Tuesday November 2nd at 8:00pm mountain time. The poll is co-sponsored with the National Council of La Raza, SEIU, and America’s Voice.

Latino vote for Governor
Terry Goddard: 85%
Jan Brewer: 14%

Latino share of voters: 14%
Latino contribution to Goddard: +9.9

Latino vote for Senate
Rodney Glassman: 78%
John McCain: 22%

Latino share of voters: 14%
Latino contribution to Glassman: +7.8

Note: Latino contribution is the net amount Latino votes contributed to the overall margin for the winning candidate. It is calculated by taking the partisan vote advantage for one candidate (i.e. 85% to 14% = partisan advantage of +71) and multiplying it by the Latino share of the electorate. If Latinos provide Goddard with a +71 vote advantage, and comprise 14% of the electorate, that translates into a net contribution of 9.9 points towards Goddard’s overall margin.
